Travel is my third career. I worked as a nurse until my daughter was born, a daycare provider while raising my kids, and now a travel agent. I think taking care of people is in my blood!
We lived in Germany and traveled to many European countries.
I am a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees!!
I have an adorable and quirky mini golden-doodle named Mo.
Since Holden Family Travel's inception, I have worked closely with wonderful travelers, helping to bring clarity and expertise to the planning process. By taking away my client's "overwhelm," they are freed up to have wildly successful and altogether delightful experiences from start to finish. By working one-on-one with my clients, I am able to get to know each of you on a personal level to help bring to life spectacular family vacations that are talked about by your family for years to come.
Integrity, Honesty, and a Commitment to Excellence are the three pillars of my business. I hope my clients see that in every trip we plan together.
Though my specialty is Family Travel, my sub-specialty is Accessible / Special Needs Travel. I have an Accessible Travel Certificate from Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), I am a Certified Accessible Travel Advocate with Special Needs Group, and a Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP) through IBCCES.
I help families with special needs or special circumstances take the much-needed and well-deserved vacations they have always wanted. Whether it’s a family member with autism, severe allergies, mobility issues, or any other situation that requires assistance, I understand the types of challenges my families face and the stress that comes with it.
For families in these situations, planning accessible travel is often an additional stressor and can result in them not taking the family vacation they desperately need. That’s where I come in. I bring my nursing background and years of experience taking care of young children and combine this with my extensive Rolodex of international travel connections and suppliers to deliver a vacation that is beyond my client's wildest dreams. They delight in a vacation where they get to witness their children and loved ones happy, included, and engaged. Once they know I have taken care of every detail, they can enjoy feeling pampered and indulged in a way that soothes the soul. My families return from their vacations happy, energized, deeply connected, and with memories they will cherish forever.
I came across this quote by Morgan Harper Nichols when I first opened Holden Family Travel.
“You are worth the quiet moment. You are worth the deeper breaths, and you are worth the time it takes to slow down, be still, and rest.”
Thank you for letting me take away your trip planning concerns. If I do my job right, you will find the quiet moment, take the deeper breath, slow down, be still, and rest.
Here for you always,
Laurie
